The BOOMshack has been on the web since late '98. Since then a few CDs have been made, a few impromptu jams have been recorded in the BOOMshack garden, and a few projects have been nearly finished, so there's lots happening, and most of it will appear on the site sometime.

All the artists on the site are unsigned and some have recorded or mastered CDs at the BOOMshack. Most of the acts are local to Norfolk (UK), so hopefully the site represents some of the diversity of musical activity in the area.

The studio has grown from a four track cassette affair with ZX Spectrum based sampler to a Mac/PC network with AKAI sampler in about 10 years (which is how long it took me to scrape together the cash), and over that time loads of recordings have been made, demos, jam sessions and lo-fi experimentation, some of which will be appearing on the site soon in the BOOMshack Archive.
